Appeal for Skilled Volunteers

SURVIVAL IN HARD FINANCIAL TIMES, IVO TRUSTEES, VOLUNTEERS, SERVICE USERVERS HAVE BEEN PROPELLED BY PASSION FOR THE CAUSE TO FIGHT HEALTH INEQUALITIES AND DISCRIMINATION AGAINST PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS AND THOSE AFFECTED

We are happy to share Achievements and Challenges for the PAST 2 YEARS with our Service Users, Well-wishers and all stakeholders, Funders and potential donors

After the shock of Serious Funding cuts, the newly appointed Trustees, young volunteers and founders were faced with a challenge of raising Funds from various sources to sustain the activities of the Charity. We developed a crisis and shock absolving strategy .We had to revisit our Fundraising strategy in order to save and   sustain our vital and valuable services in the community.

Driven by Passion for the work we do education the public about Sexual health, prevention of HIV and managing AIDS treatment, empowering people affected by HIV/AIDS, we tapped  into  personal experiences to continue offering support to Disadvantaged  Children and families. Over 300 hours of Voluntary time was offered by trustees and key volunteers. To date we are happy to report that we have offered support to over 200 new and existing clients including disadvantaged children and young people.

We have invested in training and offering opportunities to Young people to develop skills to take a lead in developing, planning and running services.

Resilience and Survival

We , the people at IVO support each other in vast amounts.

We are tapping into experiences of senior Citizens, service users, Local CVS- HAVCO and our Local Politicians to help our Charity to open new avenues for funding and to diversify our service provision based on long experience as a grass root organisation.

Our Pledge is to create a sustainable Organization for generations to come. We are investing in young people by providing them with relevant skills and support through volunteering and apprenticeship.
